During pregnancy, eating healthy for two has always been emphasized but what are some other ways that lead to a healthy pregnancy and easy childbirth? Find out below.
1. Stay Active
Low-intensity workouts likes walking, light yoga or swimming during pregnancy boost your energy and make your childbirth easy. As long as your consultant says it’s okay to exercise, you should aim for at least two and a half hours of workout per week. If you had an active routine before your pregnancy, check with your doctor if you can continue with your exercise routine but make sure you drink plenty of water, and stop exercising if you feel dizzy.
2. Get a Prenatal Massage
Getting a prenatal massage during pregnancy can be a real treat. Massage relaxes your muscles and releases your stress.
Many spa massages are safe during pregnancy but avoid those that increase your body temperature and check with your doctor about what massage would do the best for you!
3. Beautify Your Looks
Most of the women in Pakistan stop caring about their appearance during pregnancy. They seem to be focusing only on their diet. But to feel good, you need to look good too.
Dress up nicely every day and wear make up for a fresh look. Care about your skin, your hair and your overall look. Getting a manicure and pedicure every month can also be very relaxing and it really does make you feel good.
4. Hydrate Yourself
Staying hydrated will help keep the energy level up. It also helps prevent constipation and bladder infection during pregnancy. So, drink enough water and juices everyday. Avoid caffeinated beverages.
It will not only help your body stay active but it will also leave your skin fresh and glowing.
5. Plan a “Babymoon”
Some couples take a trip before the birth of their baby to relax and enjoy their time together. Going on a short vacation may help you relieve your pregnancy anxiety and stress. But talk to your doctor before you plan a trip and try going before your last months. If you cant go far from home then a day spent at a farmhouse or a special date might brighten up your mood and make you feel the BEST!
