Charming and Charismatic Fawad Afzal Khan is a prominent Pakistani TV and film actor, singer and a popular model. Although the chocolate hero doesn’t require any formal introduction but let’s just quickly have a look at his personal life and professional achievements.
Born in Lahore, Pakistan – Fawad spent his early childhood in abroad. His professional showbiz success is rooted back to his college days where he performed in a play for a friend, his performance was witnessed by the well-known director Anjum Shehzad who advised him to pursue acting as a career.
Fawad Khan was earlier only interested in singing and music. He learnt guitar and bass professionally and had been an integral part of Pakistan’s famous rock band EP. EP’s music album Irtiqa managed to grab serious critical and commercial success. The band was a hit among youth.
Today’s successful TV actor, Fawad Khan started his TV career with Anjum Shahzad’s Satrangi. He made his film debut in 2007 with Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Ki Liye – the highest grossing movie of 2007. Khuda Ki Liye proved Fawad Khan one of the best leading actors of recent times, showcasing his brilliant acting skills to the world.
On Television, Fawad got prominence with his everlasting popular character Hassan of Dastaan. The story was an adaptation of Razia Butt’s novel that was written in the context of partition. Sanam Baloch and Fawad Khan did exceptionally well together as a lead pair of Dastaan and the play won 14 awards of reorganization and million hearts of audience.
Humsafar – the second popular play of magic man Fawad Khan rocked as well. His on scree chemistry with Mahira Khan cast a spell on audience. Later on, the play had been telecasted on an Indian TV channel Rishte and was dubbed for an Arabic TV channel too, making Fawad Khan an internationally famous artist.
Other worth mentioning plays of actor Fawad Khan are Kuch Pyaar Ka Pagal Pan, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Ashk, Numm and telefim Behad. Although all of the mentioned ventures were not a hit but Fawad’s acting was praised and appreciated.
Fawad also appeared on a remake of movie Aarman this year opposite Aamina Sheikh. Needless to say, he did total justice to the role and won the best on screen couple award as well. Nobody I know in industry could have been looked better than Fawad in Waheed Murad’s character.
