Dhoom 3 not just managed to create a dhoom (even before the release) in India but amazingly in Pakistan, too. Its advance ticket sales have reportedly set new records in India. Even in Pakistan, long queues were seen at the cinemas for the advance booking of this action thriller.
According to an official statement, D:3, which came out on Dec 20, earned Rs. 36.22 crore on the first day of release, Rs. 33.36 crore on the second day – Saturday, and Rs. 38.09 on Sunday. The film is doing well even on the weekdays.
The film is getting a varied response though. In it, you will speculate how the entire Chicago police force and a SWAT team were so easily tricked by a trapeze artist, and why a bank in Chicago would call cops from India to unravel a bank robbery.
Despite the fact that the film has lots of illogical stuff to laugh at, it is still garnering audiences. The film is utterly subjugated by the alluring megastar Aamir Khan, who is playing a double role of twin brothers in the movie - Sahir and Samar. Their resemblance is the top secret and a plus point behind every circus trick and robberies. The vengeance-seeking twin brothers use stage tricks and tactics to successfully execute a string of superficially impractical bank robberies.
Aamir Khan has made the characters so convincing that the audiences actually wait eagerly through the chase successions and macho fights so as to get back to the characters in their flashy backstage den.
According to estimates, this third instalment of Dhoom series has earned Rs. 107.61 crore from the domestic box office in the first three days of its release and Rs. 62.95 crore from the overseas markets and is expected to do good business in the coming weeks as well.
