Chocolate Cake Recipe

Chocolate cake is a quick recipe, preparation time is 45 minutes approx. The recipe makes 6 inch cake that can be generously served to 4 people. The ingredients are easily available in the market.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ table spoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup warm water

Method

First of all, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Stir together the dry ingredients – sugar, baking powder, salt, flour, sifted cocoa powder and baking soda in greased six inch pan. Add lemon juice, butter, vanilla extracts and water in the mixture of dry ingredients. Add all the ingredients together with a fork until it is well combined and no lumps are left. Bake the mixture in preheated oven for about 38 minutes. Your cake is perfectly baked, if the cake springs back when you press it lightly. There is another method to find out whether cake is baked well or not; insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean then your cake is ready to serve. Simply remove your cake from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
