Eid-ul-Azha is just around the corner – this is the perfect occasion to arrange family gatherings, parties or meetups and impress people with your cooking skills! Today we have brought an exceptionally delicious traditional recipe of mutton chops for you. With only few ingredients and simple cooking method, this dish is an easy option for an Eid feast, you can either include it in your main course with lots of salad and chutneys or serve it as a side dish with your BBQ.
Mutton chops – ½ kg
Roasted cumin seeds (ground) – 2 tbsp
Ginger paste – ½ tsp
Garlic paste – ½ tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Red chili flakes – 1 tsp
Raw-green papaya – ½ tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Mint – to garnish
Coriander – to garnish
Oil – half cup
Salt – to taste
1- Marinate your mutton chops with all ingredients except oil and yogurt and set it aside for 30 minutes.
2- Heat oil in a wok, add your mutton chops in it and cook for 15 minutes on medium heat.
3- Add yogurt to your chops, cover the lid and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes or until chops get done completely.
4- Dish out your mutton chops and garnish them with mint and coriander. Serve hot with roghni naan and lots of spicy chutneys.
