“Sweet is the first taste humans prefers from birth,” says the spokes woman of American Dietetic Association. Gulping down your favourite sweet treat is a guaranteed stress relieving therapy; no matter how fatigued or exhausted you are, a big serving of your favourite fruit cocktail will always calm your nerves. In addition to that, we all have those innocent moments when we munch on our favourite sweet snacks that include sugar loaded cookies, biscuits, candies and chocolates while watching television, reading a book or for just simply kicking away boredom. There certainly is no harm in treating yourself with that one piece of double chocolate brownie topped with rich dark chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream but making it a routine will definitely be creating some serious problems for your health.
The easiest way to tame your sweet cravings is to consume lots of fruits instead of your regular fattening desserts. Fruit cocktail will not only satisfy your sweet tooth but will also provide you all essential nutrients and fibers that your body requires. Today we have brought a very healthy recipe for you to try at home that includes all summer fruits. This luscious and delicious dessert is easy and quick to make and can be customized very easily. Throw in any fruit that you have in hand and whip this up quickly. I personally like to add mangoes, pineapples and peaches in it; three of these fruits go so great together and give that perfect summery taste. Here are the suggested ingredients for fruit cocktail:
Pineapple (peeled & diced) – 1 cup
Mangoes (peeled & diced) – 1 cup
Lychee (peeled, cut into halves & de-seeded) – 1 cup
Peaches (diced) – 1 cup
Grapes – 1 cup
Papaya – (peeled, de-seeded & diced) – 1 cup
Pineapple juice – ¼ cup
Orange juice – ¼ cup
