Lawn is in full swing in Pakistan
For summer, it’s always about color. Bright pinks, magentas, corals, sea-foam green, lilacs and sky blue hues all create a vivacious color palette to wear this season. It’s no wonder lawn fabric sells hot this season, the colors alone give us a chilled effect during the scorching summer months.
Designers from all across the country are dipping their toes into luxury lawn with ladies taking flock to their nearest shopping malls. Billboards are propped up all over the city showcasing the latest designs (or repeats) that always flourish without a hitch. Sooner or later, copies of these lawn outfits will be available at boutiques at less then half the price.
Let’s take a stroll down the latest Spring/Summer Lawn Collection from some of Pakistan’s pride and joy fashion designers.
Yahsir Waheed’s Lawn Collection for the summer is inspired by earthy Bohemian designs coupled with floral prints to create a mixture of ethnic colors used for printed motifs on the neckline of the outfit. The earth tones include shades of beige, forest green, plums and sky blue as the choice of colors for the collection. The unstitched fabric gives you the choice to create your own tailor-made outfit. The designer has headed the Pakistan Fashion Industry for about 15+ years and has achieved a great amount of success. With every season, Waheed brings on the latest trends for women’s wear.
Another Fashion house to look out for is Kayseria Summer Journey Collection from the brand of Bareeze. The leading textile hub is sparking global attention by launching the 2013 summer collection across outlets in Pakistan, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and India. Al Karam Textile
When I think of classic Pakistani Lawn prints and traditional cuts, the first brand that comes to mind is Al Karam. The leader in textile printing, Al Karam has been a lawn staple for many generations.
Starting at 5,000Rs, the collection incorporates classic combinations of black and white prints paired with a pop of red on the border. The lawn prints include a traditional, yet still modern, neckline style that matches the design of the print. The 3 piece outfits all come with a plain matching trouser fabric and easy flowing chiffon dupatta. The beautiful collection all consists of an intricate print with designs all over the sleeves, neckline and lower border of the shirts and dupattas.
With so many lawn collections to choose from, who’s the one designer worth spending on?
