After the great hits last year like “021, Waar & Na Maloom Afraad,” the movie fanatics are counting down days for the release of few more films this year.
The most anticipated movies hitting theatres this year are:
Pakistan is coming up with it’s first ever animated movie being directed by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. The basic idea behind releasing this movie was that she believes that Pakistani kids innocent minds are filled with violence and immodest content shown regularly on our private channels.
Therefore the story line centers around 3 brave children who stand up for the society.
This is soon to release, precisely on 29th May, nationally and internationally! It surely will be an exciting treat for the kids to watch during their summer vacations.
Jawaani Phir na Aani
Produced by Humayun Saeed’s production house Six Sigma entertainment the family movie is the story of four friends on a life-changing journey from Thailand to Lahore.
According to Humayun Saeed”s interview with Dawn, “It’s a comedy movie so it doesn’t have a serious plot. It’s a funny twist on how some wives don’t give their husbands any space.”
The brilliant cast includes Ayesha Khan, Hamza Abbasi, Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Wasay Chaudhry, Sohai Abro, Ahmed Ali Butt, Javed Sheikh and Omer Sharif and Bushra Ansari will be adding a touch of her desi humour in the movie.
Jawani Phir Na Aani is expected to hit the theatres on Eid-ul-Adha.
The news about the release of “Halla Gulla” gave people the impression that it’s a sequel of Na Maloom Afraad, but the director, Kamran Khan has denied all these speculations.
Along wth Javed Sheikh and few others Ismail Tara, Ghazal Javed, Ashraf Khan and Adil Wadia, we will be seeing some new faces on screen.
Kamran has stated that it is a “commercial comedy” and will only show “the posh parts of Karachi — the neat and clean side.”
Songs have been sung by Indian singers Mika Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also lent his voice for a song.
According to Khan, the film does not follow a story, but rather a chain of events. Such films normally tend to struggle at the box office, but with such superb cast, there’s still hope!
Once again this movie is going to be a creation of Humayun Saeed’s film. The leading roles will be played by Humayun himself, Mahira Khan, Zeba Bakhtiar and Javed Sheikh. Bin Roye is based on the famous novel “Bin Roye Aansoo” by writer Farhat Ishtiaq of Humsafar fame.
According to Humayun Saeed, “Bin Roye is a romantic drama. But it will not just be a film; it will also be turned into a serial to be aired on Hum TV with the same cast.”
The film is expected to release on Eid-ul-Fitr.
This movie is another pakistani action comedy film directed by Hamza Abbassi. It is releasing to entertain the audience with its exceptional cast which includes Humayun Saeed, Shehryar Munawar, Sohai Ali Abro, Saba Qamar, Fizza Zehra and Gohar Rasheed.
While talking to Dawn about the movie last year, Abbasi had said: “I deliberately chose to make a comedy because I wanted to make people laugh. It doesn’t try to be anything else.”
