The foods that you should avoid eating during pregnancy as they can cause food poisoning or harm your unborn baby are:
Goat milk’s soft cheeses should be avoided during pregnancy. These are made with mould and can contain listeria bacteria that can cause an infection. Although, this infection is exceptional but even a mild form of it can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth or severe ill health in a newborn.
Raw, undercooked eggs and foods that contain them, such as mayonnaise, should be avoided to prevent food poisoning during pregnancy.
Do not eat undercooked meat as it may contain listeria bacteria.
Avoid liver or liver products like sausages as it contains plenty of Vitamin A and too much vitamin A can harm your unborn baby. Other vitamin A rich supplements should be also avoided.
There are certain types of fish that you should limit, like tuna and oily fish. They can cause food poisoning. And, seafood with high concentrate of mercury should also be avoided like shrimps, crabs, salmon etc
You should limit the caffeine intake. High levels of caffeine can cause babies to have a low birth weight and too much of it can also cause miscarriage.
Unwashed Fruits and Vegetables
You should thoroughly wash all raw fruits and veggies and cut away the damage portions to eliminate any harmful bacteria.
All these foods should be avoided in order to have a safe pregnancy.
